The owner of MEDA Coffee and Kitchen has a strong background in accounting and business administration, but his true passion has always been cooking. He loves creating dishes that make people happy. His culinary journey began at home, where he cooked for friends and family. As his food gained popularity, his home gatherings expanded into a public venture. In January 2016, he officially established MEDA Coffee and Kitchen. He chose the name MEDA—which means “open field” or “gathering place” in Ethiopian culture—to reflect his core value: bringing people together. Through authentic Ethiopian cuisine made with love, he strives to cultivate connection, community, and joy.
